How to choose the right ties for your school?

Uniform is an important part of school life. It affects the way people perceive our school, the students within it and -to some extent- it even affects the way students behave. There are many benefit of school ties for your school uniform, but how do you choose the right ones?

  1. Colour

Choosing the colour of your ties isn’t always an easy task. The true question is whether you want them to be in your uniform colour or for them to stand out by using another colour.

If you want them to stand out, you may choose to have them in a contrasting colour (the opposite colour to your main one). Another choice is to pick harmonious colours (ones that sit beside it) so that there is a calming look within your students.

A contrasting look is more dramatic, whilst a harmonious colour is subtler.

  1. Pattern

Most school ties are made with the classic stripes across them but you don’t have to follow the crowd. Make your school stand out by choosing a block colour. Another great choice is to have one solid colour with your school logo as a repeated pattern. This would make your school very trendy.

  1. Clip on

A choice to opt for safety reasons is clip on ties. This prevents injuries from too tight or pulled ties.

With clip on ties you also don’t have to worry about those students who don’t know how to tie a tie. Everyone’s tie will look the exact same and there will be no issues surrounding it.
